Nutrition for Chronic Pain: Making Healthy Choices to Control Pain

Welcome to Nutrition for Chronic Pain: Making Healthy Choices to Control Pain!

In this course, you will learn about nutrition and how it relates to chronic pain. A healthy diet when living with chronic pain is so important. There are several diets, or Ways Of Eating (WOEs), that are beneficial for people with chronic pain. We will explore foods that can help with pain, and foods that may make pain worse.

The lessons we cover will discuss information around healthy eating or WOEs that are chronic pain friendly. Further, you will learn why some foods help you and some foods hurt you. You will also read examples of healthy meals that fall into each WOE covered.

You do not need to follow any one of these diets strictly. However, understanding why each one is beneficial will help you to make healthy choices that work for you. Our goal is to help you identify and minimize the foods that contribute to your pain cycle.

The course includes the following lessons:

  • How Diet Affects Pain
  • The Mediterranean Diet
  • The Paleo Diet
  • Keto Diet
  • Macrobiotic Diet
  • Vegetarian and Vegan Diets
